Job Description:

Baptist Health is seeking a Lead Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at our Clay location in Fleming Island. This is a full-time night shift opportunity. As a Lead Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with cardiopulmonary conditions while also assisting with shift coordination and daily operational oversight.

Job Responsibility:

  • Administer respiratory care medications and treatments
  • Provide oxygen therapy and manage ventilators
  • Assist with intubations and perform advanced respiratory care procedures
  • Monitor patient respiratory status and response to therapy
  • Oversee daily activities of the Respiratory Therapy shift
  • Precept and mentor new employees and respiratory therapy students
  • Make daily staff assignments in the absence of the supervisor or manager
  • Receive sick calls, arrange shift coverage, and adjust staffing during low census periods
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree
  • 3-5 Years Critical Care Respiratory Therapy Experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Required
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification Required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Required
  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Required
