Lead- Refrigeration Journey - DEPT 431 DAYS - BELGRAVIA. Foster Farms has been serving families since 1939. Job Responsibility:

  • Follow safety lock out tag our procedures
  • Supervise refrigeration team members as directed by Management in plant
  • Provide materials and Planning for maintenance repairs
  • Provide leadership and direction to maintenance team members, interface with other department team members
  • Assess and respond to facility maintenance needs
  • General cleaning and/or assisting other crew, if required
  • Maintain safety, housekeeping and sanitation, and GMP requirements while performing job duties
  • Makes necessary adjustments and/or repair of ammonia, chilled water, chlorine, ice maker and delivery, HVAC, and hot water generator and delivery systems
  • Monitor and make adjustments to product cooler temperatures
  • Operate and perform maintenance on boilers, condensate return systems boiler feed water systems stack economizers, and chemical injection systems for boilers and cooling towers
  • Interpret readings on the oxygen trim and boiler flame control systems, making repairs and/or adjustments as required to insure peak boiler operating efficiency
  • Operate and maintain the hot water generation and delivery systems, interpreting pressure and temperature readings and making repairs and or adjustments as required to insure peak operating efficiency
  • Monitor and make adjustments to PAA (Paracidic Acid) pumps to maintain proper concentration levels
  • Operate and maintain Ammonia Compresors and Ammonia Transfer Pumps, making repairs

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of five years' experience of Ammonia Refrigeration experience and hold RITA Certification
  • Must have a minimum of five years' experience in the refrigeration field
  • or the successful completion of a course of instruction in refrigeration combined with three years of experience in the operation and maintenance of boilers up to 600 HP
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and make “on the spot” corrections to emergency situations
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work form ladder
  • Must be able to work any shifts, and weekends as required
  • Must be willing to be on weekend call rotation
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces, pass a SCBA physical exam
  • Must be able to stand for prolong periods of time (8-10 hrs) on a concrete/metal grate floor
  • Must be able to weld and perform mechanical and fabrication tasks
