Job Description

In a challenging and multicultural environment, we seek a senior lead project manager to manage the Project management (PM) team and to drive the complex programs/projects, part of the control tower section. Mission: by mobilizing and managing project teams and contributors, you will conduct projects from inception to completion, to reach the project goals in terms of quality, planning and budget. Within an international environment, you will have to liaise with all kind of stakeholders and align your resources to the target set together with the business in order to meet the bank objectives.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the list of CIB IT projects, collaborating with leadership across the departments and prioritize projects based on the business need
  • Direct the work of Project managers and provides managerial oversight for multiple projects
  • Act as point of escalation for the Project management team
  • Create and develop a governance structure for efficient stakeholder management
  • Promote the project management service
  • Develops organizational project management capabilities through training, coaching, and individual meetings/discussions
  • Develop strategy for control and governance structures to ensure desired outcomes across the projects
  • Monitor and analyse project metrics and to propose improvements and cost savings for future projects
  • Ensure successful delivery of all projects against cost, time, scope, quality and security measures
  • Operate autonomously and handle large scale APAC/EMEA regional IT projects by understanding local regulations
  • Clarify the needs of the client and translate them into rigorous requirement lists
  • Identify standard and project specific deliverables, key assumptions, follow and mitigate risks and issues
  • Anticipate early in the project any compliance / regulatory requirement and start informing stakeholders of such risk and measure their impact
  • Define, measure and report project KPI with right level of information
  • Identify right resource within teams and constitute / coordinate project team members
  • Report or escalate any important risk and issues to Sponsor and local management for appropriate action
  • Create, review or adapt when necessary existing processes to make them more relevant, efficient and optimal
  • Communicate to Sponsor any change with right level of information and manage to get his approval
  • Follow, report budget actual/forecast to project stakeholders and local management
  • Set relevant control in place to ensure that what has been delivered meets requirements validated
  • Manage and document the project hand over with production teams
  • Continuously improve project management toolkits

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experiences, ideally in a CIB banking environment
  • Leadership
  • Excellent team management skills
  • Strong ability to understand the big picture
  • Ability to drill down complex issues to simple comprehensible terms
  • Demonstrated skill to work across functions, regions and cultures
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skillset
  • Strong communication with wide variety of individuals at all executive levels
  • Ability to Influence and motivate
  • Expertise in project cycle management and methodology
  • Ability to anticipate and manage risks
  • Hands on knowledge and understanding of Infrastructure main components
  • Strong project management experience with ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • PMP or other certification would be a plus
  • Experience in dealing with detailed IT Architecture in banking industry
  • Practical knowledge in Network, Security, Data Center, Windows, Linux, Aix, VMware, Citrix, SAN, Kubernetes and Middleware components
  • Exposure working with DevOps & Cloud technologies
  • Familiarity in handling Cyber Security and regulatory projects
  • Strong experience in working with tools like MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
  • Understanding of software development will be a plus
  • High organizational skills including time management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication across all levels of the organization
  • Team player mindset
  • Able to cope with multiple technologies, environment and teams, with high pressure
  • Good influencing, negotiation, conflict resolution and data analysis skills
  • Able communicate in Chinese languages, as this position need to manage projects in China/Taiwan/HK

Nice to have

  • PMP or other certification would be a plus
  • Understanding of software development will be a plus
