Job Responsibility:
Oversee project accounting operations to ensure compliance with corporate, client, and regulatory guidelines
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including subcontractor invoicing and client billing
Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors to ensure financial compliance and effective collaboration
Represent the company in billing processes, advocating for organizational interests with owner representatives and auditors
Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures to meet evolving project needs and financial requirements
Ensure subcontractor billing accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements and project-specific requirements
Interpret and apply contract provisions to maintain proper accounting practices and financial alignment
Conduct training and provide guidance to staff and subcontractors on accounting procedures and compliance standards
Collaborate with project leadership to support financial decision-making and resolve accounting-related challenges
Monitor project financial performance, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational goals
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project or construction accounting
Expertise in managing accounts payable and receivable processes
Strong knowledge of contract interpretation and compliance within financial contexts
Proficiency in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing accounting procedures
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with subcontractors and project stakeholders
Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to assess complex financial factors
Familiarity with job cost accounting and its application in construction projects
