Job Description

As an intern, you will gain exposure to a wide range of technical and operational opportunities. You will also acquire critical insight into our Company and our industry, as well as have the chance to develop valuable networking connections, which will help prepare and develop your skills for future career opportunities. This role will provide assistance and support to the Lead Program for identification and replacement of lead service lines.

Job Responsibility

  • Supports the Lead Service Line Replacement Program (LSLRP) including the following: Maintenance of Work Order Logs
  • Processing of opt-ins
  • Assists in the generation of productivity metrics associated with the execution of the LSLRP including Dig & determines, Company-side lead replacements, Customer-side lead replacements, Backlog of Company-side lead replacements, Length of lead replaced
  • Develops a field level understanding of the LSLRP including how the contractors execute their work out in the field
  • Assists in the vetting of service line data to support future contractor work
  • Compares and reviews information between datasets to ensure it is accurate and complete
  • Utilizes Veolia’s Geographic Information System (GIS), HexaGon Work Order Management System, and Work Order Logs (created using Google Sheets) to support work flow between Veolia and Contractors

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required
  • Enrolled in an accredited 4-year Bachelor’s Degree Program in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering and you have a Junior Status
  • 3.2 Cumulative G.P.A required
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, presentation and facilitation skills / Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships including use of Google Workspace Applications (Google Sheets, Slides, and Docs)
  • Ability to read maps and communicate effectively (written and verbally)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Travel Flexibility
  • ability to stand, sit in front of computer for extended periods of time
