Job Description

Wells Fargo is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Product Owner to join our Application Capture team within Home Lending Product. In this role, you will work closely with a Senior Lead Product Manager to drive the development, enhancement, and strategy of the mortgage point-of-sale application to optimize customer and sales interactions. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience overseeing technology products, excels at working with engineering teams in an Agile environment, and is passionate about delivering solutions that empower our sales force and improve client relationships. Our Application Capture team is committed to transforming how sales professionals connect with clients and manage relationships, prioritizing innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as the primary Product Owner for online mortgage application within the Application Capture portfolio, supporting the home lending sales force
  • Work in close partnership with the Product Manager to align product vision, strategy, and execution with business objectives
  • Collaborate daily with engineering, sales, and 3rd party vendor teams to define detailed product requirements and deliver high-impact solutions
  • Engage with sales professionals and business stakeholders to gather feedback, understand user needs, and identify opportunities for product improvements
  • Prioritize product features and enhancements based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews) and ensure smooth, iterative delivery with engineering teams

Requirements

5+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice to have

  • Proven success overseeing and delivering technology products in a fast-paced, Agile environment
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze data, interpret key trends, and make informed product decisions
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and product management tools
  • Experience leveraging Generative AI (GenAI) tools to expedite the product development lifecycle, accelerating documentation to optimizing workflow efficiency
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and customer engagement strategies
  • Home Lending, Mortgage or financial service experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to drive user adoption and engagement in POS environments

  • Own the post-launch product roadmap for GoodLeap’s card product, balancing near-term operational needs with longer-term product vision, and communicate prioritization decisions and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders
  • Lead the phased rollout strategy for the card product, defining success metrics at each stage and partnering with Marketing to expand access to increasing groups of customers in a deliberate and operationally sound way
  • Collaborate with product teams across GoodLeap — including Payments, B2B, Homeowner, Servicing, and Platform — to align on shared systems and surfaces needed to deliver on the card roadmap and support scaled rollout
  • Serve as the primary product owner bridging strategy and execution: documenting requirements, aligning on acceptance criteria, and working hand-in-hand with engineering through delivery of each roadmap increment
  • Manage relationships with the card product’s external vendor ecosystem — spanning multiple third-party partners across card issuing, underwriting, fraud, and servicing — and ensure vendor roadmaps align with product needs
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators in partnership with Data Analytics and use metrics to inform roadmap decisions and flag issues early
  • Engage directly with customers and partners in partnership with Business Development and customer-facing teams to gather qualitative feedback, and establish a continuous learning loop that drives rapid product improvement after launch
