Lead Product Designer required for an exciting Fintech business, role is a mixture of hands on Design as well as managing a team of 3 Product Designers. The client is a fast-growing fintech helping customers invest and manage their money through a simple digital platform. They operate across multiple European markets and support a large, established customer base. The product is focused on making long-term investing more accessible, combining smart tooling with guidance to help people make better financial decisions. They’re well funded, scaling quickly, and continuing to grow their London product and design team.
Job Responsibility:
Own key product areas end-to-end across web + mobile
Lead discovery through to final UI, prototyping and developer handover
Improve core customer journeys, onboarding, investing flows, and account management
Work closely with Product and Engineering to ship high quality work at pace
Use insight, data and user feedback to iterate and improve the experience
Line manage 3 Product Designers, coaching them day-to-day and supporting development
Run critique, set design standards and raise the overall quality bar
Help prioritise design work, allocate projects and keep the team moving
Champion a consistent experience through the design system and shared patterns
Be a key voice in shaping the overall product and customer experience direction
Requirements:
Proven experience managing Product Designers (not just mentoring)
Strong hands-on product design across web + mobile (end to end)
Confident running critique, setting direction, and improving design standards
Experience building and evolving design systems
Strong UX craft, interaction design, and ability to simplify complex journeys
Comfortable working closely with Product and Engineering in an agile environment
