Job Description:

We're hiring a Lead, Product Designer to lead experience design for our Growth domain! You’ll define the customer experience from first touchpoint to long-term engagement, collaborating closely with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders to ship products that solve real problems for Canadians. You'll shape strategy, build the details, and help us design the future of financial services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design end-to-end product experiences across web and mobile, balancing usability, polish, and performance
  • Collaborate with PMs and engineers from problem framing through execution to ensure the right problems are solved well
  • Lead discovery efforts: mapping journeys, defining flows, prototyping concepts, and validating ideas through research
  • Build systems, not just screens. You’ll consider long-term scalability, edge cases, accessibility, and real-world constraints
  • Help set the vision and strategy for your domain, bringing a customer lens to roadmap and feature planning
  • Work with content, research, and data to understand user needs and uncover opportunities
  • Contribute to and extend Neo’s design system in a way that enables quality at scale
  • Communicate clearly and often, sharing rationale, presenting work, and influencing decisions at every level
  • Mentor and support other designers, raising the quality bar across teams

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of product design experience shipping real-world products across platforms
  • Strong craft across interaction design, visual design, and information architecture
  • Experience working cross-functionally with PMs, engineers, researchers, and content designers
  • Strong systems thinker: you connect micro-interactions to broader customer journeys
  • Confident in ambiguity, you bring structure, clarity, and momentum to messy problem spaces
  • Obsessive about outcomes. You measure success in customer impact, not pixels alone
  • Strong communicator with the ability to present, explain, and defend design decisions with humility and clarity
What we offer:
  • Flexible Pay: You choose your mix of cash and equity in Neo
  • Total Rewards: You’ll receive competitive benefits, perks, and in some cases, role-specific short-term incentives
  • All team members have a stake in Neo’s success and earn meaningful equity through stock options
