Join our Omnicare, closed-door pharmacy as a Lead Pharmacy Technician in our Back End department and help us deliver best customer support to our long-term care, assisted living, and chronic care customers. Day In The Life: As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will work to lead and support the back-end pharmacy workflow by ensuring proper preparation of medications to be dispensed, our equipment is optimally cared for, and adequate supply levels are maintained. Our back-end team focuses on order fulfillment including packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations. The Team: Omnicare, a CVS Health Company, provides care to those in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and chronic care settings. Although Omnicare pharmacies are not open to the public, you’ll work amongst great colleagues in a supportive environment aligned with the company’s mission, allowing our customers to focus on giving their patients the best care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and support the back-end pharmacy workflow by ensuring proper preparation of medications to be dispensed

  • Assist in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal laws

Requirements:

  • Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Nice to have:

  • Prior leadership experience
  • Prior experience in handling equipment- computers, printers, etc.
  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry
  • Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • PTCB National Certification
