Job Responsibility

  • lead and develop clinical pharmacy services within Medicine
  • manage and support senior pharmacy staff across multiple clinical areas
  • work closely with consultants, senior nurses and operational leads
  • support medicines optimisation, governance and quality improvement initiatives
  • contribute to service transformation and digital/EPR developments
  • provide advanced clinical input across acute medicine, frailty and specialist services
  • support education, training and workforce development across the pharmacy team

Requirements

  • current GPhC registration
  • extensive NHS hospital pharmacy experience at Band 8a level or above
  • strong leadership and people management experience
  • excellent clinical knowledge within acute/general medicine
  • experience with governance, audit and service improvement
  • Independent Prescriber qualification (desirable)
  • ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
