Job Responsibility

  • Calculate, process and peer check retirement pension benefits, death benefits, spouse/partner pensions and child pensions
  • Calculate and provide pension estimates
  • Calculate, process and peer check transfer cases
  • Calculate, process and peer check divorce cases
  • Provide technical support for Pension Officers
  • Assist with the implementation of new legislative changes
  • Provide members with accurate scheme information and support with their queries

Requirements

  • Have experience of working in a Local Government Scheme Pension Fund team
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of the LGPS Regulations
  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Be able to effectively manage workloads, prioritise cases and meet legislative deadlines
  • Have good IT skills and experience of using Microsoft Office and a Pension Administration platform
  • Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills
