About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Payroll Coordinator – India Payroll. In this role, you will: Perform or guide others on complex payroll analysis such as technical aspects of Workday payroll processing’s and ensure that configuration implementations are tested and approved Translate Wage & Hour regulations and apply knowledge to payroll processing as well as payroll system configurations Independently prioritize work and provide day-to-day-work leadership and mentorship to team; lead or contribute to implementation of new or revised processes and procedures that require coordination among various teams Advise manager, give direction to team members and escalate non-routine questions and problem solve complex and multiple steps processes Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to immediate team and Payroll area on wide range of information; respond to the raised concerns and determine appropriate course of action Support performance and overall effectiveness of team; proactively provide feedback and present ideas for improving or implementing processes and tools with Payroll functional area Participate in audit walk-throughs and retrieve any artifacts Create technical requirements for system implementations, perform user acceptance testing, execute the implementation of configurations with little to no exceptions

Requirements

  • 4+ years of HR Operations, Accounting, Payroll, Payroll Tax experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military support experience, education
  • India Payroll
  • University degree in Business or related discipline
  • Experience in Indian Payroll Operations, Full and Final Settlement, Statutory compliance (Income tax, PF, PT, ESIC, LWF, NPS, Gratuity, Stat bonus …etc…)
  • Preparing Monthly Payroll inputs and validate 100% of Payroll output calculations from Gross to net (including statutory deductions)
  • Preparing payroll related MIS reports like CTC variance, head count, pay revision and quality reports
  • Experience in Onboarding process for new joiners including statutory enrollments, Newhire form filling, Validation, etc…
  • Good knowledge of Statutory outputs reports validation & returns filing (Income Tax, PF, PT, ESIC, LWF, NPS, Gratuity, Stat Bonus …etc…)
  • Good knowledge of India tax and labor laws
  • Good Knowledge of SAP/Global View Payroll Administration & and reconciliation of FBP reimbursements
  • Experience in Internal/External Payroll/Full and Final Settlement/Statutory Audits
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Medium to Advance MS Office skills, data entry skills
  • Experience in working with Industry prominent ERP tools eg Workday, PeopleSoft, ServiceNow SAP, and ADP Global View
  • Must be able to adapt to change well
