Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Oracle Database Engineer to join Oracle Database Engineering team to lead complex database management initiatives and provide technical expertise for server class databases.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead complex or critical database management initiatives
  • Provide technical expertise for planning, research, design implementation, maintenance, and control of server class databases
  • Review and analyze complex database technologies
  • Design and certify next generation database technologies
  • Assist in database installations including troubleshooting
  • Recommend improvements to web application processing issues
  • Consult with multiple client groups to provide strategic solutions
  • Provide technical leadership on future direction of database technology
  • Collaborate with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Database Engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting software development life cycle for large-scale distributed technology projects and migrations
  • 5+ years of experience leading Database Engineering projects within large organizations
  • 3+ years of expertise and experience with Oracle Exadata and Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance (ZDLRA)
  • Strong Background in Exadata machine administration or other UNIX System Administration experience
  • Experience with Oracle Maximum Availability Architecture including Oracle Real Application Clustering (RAC), Data Guard and Golden Gate
  • Experience in leading complex or critical data/database management initiatives and projects

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Oracle Database backup and restore
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools
  • Strong technical and task/timeline-oriented skills
  • Knowledgeable in programming or scripting language
  • Experience with large data sets, transactional platforms
  • Experience managing industry-standard development tools or scripting languages
  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with automation
