Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Operational Risk Officer to develop, implement, and monitor risk-based programs to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risk that arises from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems, or external events.

Job Responsibility:

Develop, implement, and monitor risk-based programs to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risk
Maintain balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiency
Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems, and internal controls
Analyze complex business and system changes to determine impact and identify operational risk issues
Provide operational risk expertise and consulting to complex business units
Design and develop complex testing strategies, methodologies and analyses
Consult with business to develop corrective action plans and effectively manage change
Identify training opportunities
Design and coordinate development of training materials
Report findings and develop business cases to influence executive management
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues
Lead project or virtual teams and mentor less experienced staff

Requirements:

5+ years of Operational Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to grasp complex business issues quickly, recommend solutions, and drive for resolutions
Ability to form a story through data analysis
Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing processes
Experience coordinating multiple tasks within aggressive time frames
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change
Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
Ability to lead during times of ambiguity and change
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
