Job Description:

Lead Nurse (Clinical Nurse Manager 3) for the new state-of-the-art Women’s Health Centre. A key pillar of the group’s strategic plan is a commitment to further build on its excellence in healthcare for women at every stage of life. The centre will combine a comprehensive range of services under one roof, in a prominent Dublin City Centre location. From expert consultations, diagnostic testing to specialized treatments, we will support women through their healthcare journey.

Job Responsibility:

  • To provide professional and clinical leadership in the Women’s Health Centre
  • To oversee the management of resources including staffing and staff development
  • To facilitate communication across the healthcare teams
  • The role of the CNM3 is pivotal to the co-ordination and management of the Nursing service and the resources within the service
  • To assess, plan and deliver patient care and encourage recognition of the patient as an individual, ensuring patients’ needs and comfort are given priority
  • Maintain throughout the Hospital awareness of the privacy of the patient in relation to all Hospital activities
  • Provide safe comprehensive nursing care is provided to patients within the guidelines laid out by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
  • Formulate, manage and implement best practice policies and procedures
  • Ensure that patients and others are treated with dignity and respect
  • Maintain professional standards in relation to confidentiality, ethics and legislation
  • Demonstrate behaviour consistent with the Values of the Hospital
  • Reporting relationship will be to the Assistant Director of Nursing/ Operations Manager for Women’s Health
  • Be professionally accountable to the Director of Nursing
  • Manage own workload in accordance with the needs of the post

Requirements:

  • Registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
  • Have at least 7 years post registration full- time experience of which 2 years must be in the speciality of Women’s Health or related area
  • Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role
  • Evidence of continuous, personal & professional development
  • Must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • A post registration qualification (level 9 or above) is desirable
