As a Lead Software Engineer on the mobile team at Cape, you will architect the future of private mobile communication by leading and scaling our mobile engineering team. You will lead the r charge will be on building our secure iOS and Android suite of products, translating our privacy-first mission into a best in class user experience and functionality. We don’t just whitelabel an application and do the bare minimum for onboarding and collecting payment, but instead we’re building natively from the ground up to solve some of the hardest technical challenges in security and cryptography in order to secure personal information (PII), account data, and even voice & SMS traffic. Take ownership of the mobile product lifecycle, from conceptualization to launch

Actively improve user workflows by collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless experiences across product boundaries and a cohesive user experience
Requirements:
5+ years of mobile software engineering experience
Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics or similar field
Experience crafting complex user experiences (UX) with a strong intuition for good design and usability
Exceptional coding skills regardless of framework, especially with Kotlin or Swift, and can navigate different languages and technology stacks (e.g. Go, Typescript)
Familiarity with data structures, loading patterns, mobile frameworks, and other technical tools and concepts
Familiarity with software design patterns such as: MVVM, unidirectional state flow, modularization, asynchronous and event-based programming, and other modern mobile development patterns
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to iterate quickly with teammates, incorporating feedback and holding a high bar for quality
Nice to have:
Active US Security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance is beneficial, but not necessary
