We are looking for an experienced Lead Mobile Automation Tester to lead our QA efforts across Android and iOS applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality mobile releases, and mentoring a team of automation engineers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and mentor a team of mobile automation testers
  • Define automation strategy, tools, and processes for mobile testing (both Android & iOS)
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure quality is integrated into every stage of the SDLC
  • Conduct test planning, estimation, and reporting activities
  • Design and implement robust, scalable automation frameworks for mobile and web platforms
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for mobile applications using tools such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or similar
  • Develop automated test scripts for functional, regression, smoke, and performance testing
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitrise)
  • Maintain and optimize automation scripts for stability and reliability
  • Perform end-to-end testing on Android and iOS devices/emulators
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and ensure timely resolution

Requirements:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of QA experience, with 4+ years in mobile automation testing
  • Hands-on expertise with tools like Appium, Selenium, Espresso, XCUITest, or Detox
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Kotlin, Python, or JavaScript
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured) and version control systems (Git)
  • Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or AWS Device Farm
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr)
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with performance testing (e.g., JMeter)
  • Exposure to BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behave)
  • Understanding of security testing principles
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
