Job Description:

Hutcheon Mearns are working on behalf of a multimillion-pound turnover business located in the heart of Glasgow. The role of Lead MI Reporting Accountant will form part of an energetic finance team and would be well suited to a fully Qualified Finance professional with a strong portfolio of management and financial reporting and analysis as well as a strong system bias. The successful candidate will be responsible for key BAU (business as usual) & transformation project activities as well as dual run processing activities in the new system during the dual running phase of the project. This will be in line with the guidelines set forth by the Core Accounting Sub Business Process Owner.

Job Responsibility:

  • BAU Financial & KPIs reporting
  • Dual run processing activities, end to end process design & process review
  • End to end policy review including new policy creation as required
  • Data rationalisation, cleansing & conversion, system configuration and testing activities
  • Creation of training and both provision of training and train the trainer
  • Creation and review of reporting on the journey to implement new management information system(s) and processes which are efficient, effective and scalable
  • Ensure alignment with and execution of the business vision, purposes and to meet and exceed performance targets
  • Carry out MI related dual run activities defined as part of the dual running process utilising the new ERP system, following policy and process flows as defined during the project
  • Testing of reporting/forecasting/trend analysis to ensure validation of data and design

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant, ACA CIMA, ACCA
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ work experience in Reporting functional team
  • Excellent knowledge of Financial and Management reporting essential
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to develop complex financial reports
  • Excellent IT literacy MS Office (VLOOKUPS, SUMIF, Pivot Tables) with an excellent standard of formatting
  • A first-class working knowledge of financial systems and Power BI
  • Self-Starter, pro-active approach essential
  • Resourceful and with good attention to detail
  • Ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and affective manner by prioritising his/her own work
  • When to escalate issues to management for resolution / action
  • Ability to prioritise workloads with minimal supervision
  • Excellent individual experience in reporting and interacting with senior management
