Beyond the Desk: Become a Lead Mentor in Chaldon. If you can't stand the idea of a 9-to-5 desk job, this is for you. As a Senior TA at our new Chaldon site, your 'office' is a dynamic, state-of-the-art learning environment. You'll be the boots-on-the-ground mentor for students aged 11-16, helping them navigate emotional hurdles and master life skills. Variety: Every day is different-from classroom support to satellite site visits in Caterham. Leadership: Manage escalations with a cool head and a positive approach. Collaborative Culture: Work alongside a multi-disciplinary intervention team in a state-of-the-art environment. The Role: As a Senior/Experienced Teaching Assistant, you won't just be 'helping out.' You will be a vital link in our students' developmental chain. Your day-to-day will involve: Tailored Support: Implementing and adapting learning activities to meet complex sensory and emotional needs. Behavioural Leadership: Using your experience to manage escalations with empathy, patience, and a positive, therapeutic approach. Promoting Independence: Helping students build the life skills and confidence they need to navigate the world beyond the classroom. Safeguarding Excellence: Acting as a champion for the welfare and wellbeing of every young person in our care. Shift Patterns: Monday - Wednesday: 08:15 - 16:45; Thursday: 08:15 - 17:00; Friday: 08:15 - 16:00. Note: While based in Chaldon, occasional flexibility to work at our nearby satellite site in Caterham may be required.

  • To deliver a range of enrichment activities linked to EHCP outcomes and the wider curriculum
  • To teach small groups of SEN children with complex needs specifically focusing on EHCP outcomes
  • To liaise with the wider school to ensure opportunities to integrate are provided
  • To communicate regularly with parents and carers and provide termly reviews of progress
