Job Description:

Lead Maths SEN Teacher to join Aspire School in Croydon, teaching a primary SEN class with responsibility for leading on maths across the school for pupils with SLCN/SEMH. The school meets the diverse needs of pupils aged 5-11 with SEMH needs, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Speech, Language and Communication needs (SLCN).

Job Responsibility:

  • Craft and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
  • Accurately assess, monitor, and celebrate student progress
  • Tailor teaching to meet the unique strengths and needs of each student
  • Set high expectations that ignite curiosity and motivate students
  • Play a key role in achieving outstanding student progress and outcomes
  • Share passion and deep knowledge of the curriculum

Requirements:

  • QTS or QTLS Qualification
  • Proven teaching and learning experience
  • Up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience
  • Be an outstanding classroom practitioner
  • Have the energy, passion, and drive to raise standard
  • Have initiative, vision, excellent planning, and organisational skills
  • Have experience of working with students with SEMH and additional needs
  • Have knowledge and understanding of developments in education
