We are launching an exciting, state-of-the-art sustainable agricultural facility in the northern SA region. We are looking for a Lead Maintenance Technician who wants to get in on the ground floor. You will be involved right from the construction phase—giving you a firsthand understanding of how the facility is put together—before transitioning into the leader responsible for keeping the entire farm and facility running smoothly.
Job Responsibility
You will be on-site during construction, working alongside the project team to understand the plumbing, structural elements, and specialised farming systems
Once operational, you will own the daily preventative and reactive maintenance of the agricultural facility and surrounding farm infrastructure
When a specialised fix is required, you will be the point of contact to organise, schedule, and oversee external contractors and trades
Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, you will be the on-the-ground eyes and ears. You'll need to step up, make decisions, prioritise workloads, and take true ownership of the facility
Requirements
A solid background as a qualified trades person (e.g., electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical) OR a highly experienced, versatile handyman
A problem-solving mindset with the ability to diagnose issues and perform hands-on repairs whenever possible
Leadership potential
