Responsible for procurement, design, runoff, delivery and launch of new/re-tooled equipment to support New Programs
Deploy standard engineering methods in the development and delivery of Block, Head, Crankshaft machining processes and systems
Request and ensure on time delivery of all (Original Equipment Manufacturer) OEM documentation Liaise with New Model Launch on program delivery
Ensure weekly New Model program safety walks are conducted from the beginning of facility activities thru the commissioning of all new model process and process support equipment
Lead the quality processes (Reconciliation Matrix/Control Plan, SCCAF, Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (PFMEA), Error Proofing)
Lead cross functional team encompassing
Collaboration & Innovation, Digital Engineering & Layout, Simulation & Process Optimisation, Quality & Business Processes, and Industrial Engineering
Lead the FMA process for new crankshaft line programs
Develop and maintain Bill of Process elements for all machining methods and equipment specifications
Develop and deliver ESWP, enquiry specification/bid packages, SPA, recaps, and issue Purchase Requisitions for process related equipment
Drive Investment Efficiency process with PD & OEM's
Lead site-based engineers throughout the delivery of equipment to production readiness
Lead the smooth transitions between Manufacturing and Operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, production, and maintenance, to facilitate seamless operations and drive process improvements
Evaluate and select appropriate tools, technologies, and equipment for machining operations, including CNC machining centers, precision cutting tools, and gaging systems
Train the team on new processes and equipment as required
Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and reduce costs within machining processes
Support day-to-day production by maintaining manufacturing processes and providing technical guidance and solutions to production and maintenance teams
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing ( Ideally involving in Block, Head, Crankshaft machining proces )
Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Proven experience (10+ years) in Block, Head, Crankshaft machining line
Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and project management skills are essential for working in cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
Leadership experience, including managing a team and guiding their professional development
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative marketing campaigns and solutions
Strong attention to detail and project management skills to oversee multiple campaigns simultaneously
