Supervises and coordinates the activities of Lockbox Clerical Worker under the direction of the Supervisor. Must have knowledge of all department systems equipment. Banking and accounting experience is a MUST.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervises and coordinates the activities of Lockbox Clerical Worker under the direction of the Supervisor
  • Prepare work schedules to expedite workflow by examining daily production logs to determine resource utilization
  • Monitor all work performance of Lockbox for accuracy and true productivity in compliance to that of the contract
  • Coordinate and control the flow of correspondence
  • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates
  • Check all processed work being transmitted for accuracy through batch control
  • Make sure all payments received are secured in the Lockbox area and that currency is placed in the safe
  • Participate in the training of new staff members
  • Work under the direction of the Supervisor and perform some of the duties in his or her absence

Requirements

  • Associate's degree
  • A minimum of 2 -3 years of experience
  • Leadership experience in a financial payment processing environment
  • Ability to motivate people
  • Good spoken and written communication skills
  • Good 'people skills' for building relationships with colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to plan and prioritize your own work and other people's
  • Understanding of computer systems and workflow of department
  • Decision-making ability
  • Accuracy with record keeping
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret internal business documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and volumes
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
