Job Responsibility:
Report to work on time according to posted schedule in specified uniform
Open/close the kitchen properly and follow the opening/closing checklist for kitchen stations
Measure and mix ingredients accurately
Test food by proper taste testing and taking temperatures using ServSafe procedures
Perform food preparation and cooking tasks including measuring, washing, peeling, cutting, grilling, baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, carving, and portioning
Monitor food quantities, quality and display during preparation
Stock work-station appropriately for each shift
Develop and have knowledge of restaurant's menu and ingredients
Date food containers and rotate perishables while ensuring proper temperature
Clean work space including sanitizing all parts of the station
Respect co-workers and managers
Promote positive company perception internally and publicly
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Previous experience in non-fast food restaurant or culinary school training required
ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
Ability to perform basic math
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Availability to work late nights, weekends and holidays
