Job Description:

Lead Java Software Engineer position in Capital Markets technology building solutions for Wells Capital Markets technology organization, focusing on automation and modernization journey with strategic cloud complaint platforms

Job Responsibility:

Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency
Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes
Lead design, develop, test and implement applications and system components
Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues
Mentor less experienced software engineers
Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals
Lead team to achieve objectives
Partner with production support and platform engineering teams

Requirements:

5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience
5+ years of Software Engineering experience
5+ years Java development experience
5+ years of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) experience
4+ years of Capital Markets Technology related experience
4+ years of DevOps tool set based continuous incremental delivery experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Nice to have:

2+ years working Kubernetes-like container technology
2+ years working public cloud provider such as Azure or GCP
2+ years using cloud based open source Distributed Caching technology
2+ years of experience working with opensource messaging technologies on cloud such as Apache Kafka/Confluent Enterprise
Securities Lending / Prime business experience
