Job Description:

Lead Java Software Engineer position in Core Risk Technology building the next generation risk platform for the bank. This is an ambitious, green-field initiative to tackle the bank's risk computation challenges in new ways, intended to handle ticking risk for the trading desks, a sandbox for Quants as well as FRTB, CVA, PFE and other scenario intensive simulations.

Job Responsibility:

Designing and implementing core components of the platform
Working closely with quants, business users and testing teams to deliver business capabilities
Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies
Mentoring less experienced team members
Providing expert counsel to senior technology leadership

Requirements:

5+ years of Java experience, more recently with Java 11 or later
5+ years of engineering experience in a senior/lead role
5+ years of experience architecting/engineering solutions with caching technologies such as GridGain/Ignite, Coherence, Gemfire etc.
5+ years of experience architecting/engineering Big Data solutions with either Hadoop/HBase or MongoDB

Nice to have:

Knowledge and understanding of financial industry front office trading and risk management
Knowledge and understanding of financial products and associated mathematical concepts
A master's degree or higher in Science or Technology
