Job Description:

Citigroup is a world leading financial institution providing comprehensive financial services to customers and investors around the world. We are part of Risk-Data Team in Fixed income Technology within Market Tech. Providing GSP/Rates business exceptional services in business analysis, project management, application development, quality assurance and integration with in-house developed technology solutions. Risk Data team is responsible for building and improving a fully-fledged data acquisition Realtime/EOD Risk process using Technology like Kafka, Flink, and pinot for real time data. Large data set will be on S3 which can be queried using Trino. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Java Engineer for our Risk Data Team.

Requirements:

Data engineer with a strong command over Java (version 11 or higher) with SQL knowledge
Strong knowledge of multithreading, thread pools, OOP concepts, and design patterns
Experience working in an Agile software development environment
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and Peer code review

Nice to have:

5 plus years of Java backend development experience
Hands-on production experience with distributed stream processing frameworks: Flink, Spark Streaming, Kafka Streams
Experience with deployment platform such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, API development experience
Experience with working truly Global development Team
Experience with object storage solutions (S3, GCS) is a plus
Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
Strong communication skills and attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrated leadership skills
Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
