Job Description

Power Design is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Lead Janitorial Specialist to support and oversee nightly cleaning operations. This role will act as a key point of support for management, ensuring high cleaning standards are maintained while helping coordinate team activities during the shift. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and experienced in commercial cleaning environments. This role is Monday-Friday 5:30pm - 2:00am

Job Responsibility

  • Provide general operational support, assisting Managers with daily cleaning and facility tasks
  • Distribute janitorial supplies to closets and monitor inventory levels
  • notify management when restocking is needed
  • Receive, verify, and organize incoming supply deliveries
  • maintain clean and orderly storage areas
  • Operate automatic floor-scrubbing equipment to clean and maintain flooring throughout the property
  • Address minor cleaning needs such as stain removal, supply replacement, and special cleaning projects
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections
  • identify deficiencies, communicate feedback to staff, and ensure corrections are completed
  • Report facility or cleanliness issues to management, including maintenance concerns or areas falling below standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of all areas including floors, restrooms, common areas, furniture, and fixtures
  • In the absence of a Manager, act in a supervisory capacity by coordinating workflow and guiding team members during the shift
  • Support trash removal, restroom servicing, dusting, and general cleaning duties as needed
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned to ensure all work is completed according to company standards

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 4+ years of commercial cleaning experience, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality standards
  • Ability to lead by example and provide direction to team members
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals (or willingness to learn)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs occasionally
  • Ability to work overnight shifts consistently
