Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking Lead Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as GitHub Actions, Harness, and OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). In this role, you will lead infrastructure automation efforts, manage CI/CD pipelines, and ensure reliable, secure, and scalable cloud-native deployments. You will play a pivotal role in enabling high-velocity development and operational excellence across engineering teams.

Job Responsibility:

Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications
Participate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure
Evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals
Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future
Design, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team
Collaborate with engineering and application teams to drive CI/CD adoption and migrating applications to the latest CI/CD tools with acceptable quality solution
Act as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation for Harness, GitHub, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools, and designs
Understand the application team's build, release, and deploy automation needs and provides services that align with Enterprise DevOps standards and Wells Fargo's vision and values
Collaborate with application teams, and technology partners to automate their application build and deployment processes with our version control systems, CI/CD tools, and security scanning systems
Provide consultation and training to the application teams on the latest pipeline, related tools, and benefits as needed to promote self-diagnosis and self-service potential
Assist application teams with build, deployment, scanning, software configuration management (SCM), and CI/CD issues and queries
Enable software development teams to modernize their applications by leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as cloud, containers, and microservices, configuration management, infrastructure as a code (IAAC)
Consult with the engineering team on changes, which requires a strong understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive the new initiatives
Ensures that the quality, security, and compliance requirements for the supported area are met, and oversees the creation, updating, and testing of the business continuity plan
Prepare and keep knowledge repositories up to date
educate team members and stakeholders
Understand dependency management requirements and the ability to reconcile application team needs and best practice standards

Requirements:

5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience
5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles
Strong experience with CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub Actions and Harness
Proven experience deploying and managing applications on OpenShift (OCP)
Deep understanding of containerization, orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (Azure, or GCP)
A minimum of 1 years of experience working on configuration management tools like Ansible
Demonstrated ability to lead infrastructure projects and mentor team members
