Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Lead Hand to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with management and cleaning staff to support daily operations, assist with training, and help ensure our high standards are consistently met. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a team environment. Hours: Approximately 25–35 hours per week. Flexibility is required, as shifts may include mornings, afternoons, and evenings, depending on operational needs.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with training new employees and provide refresher training to maintain company standards.
  • Work cleaning shifts as needed and support team members on site.
  • Respond to callouts, including specialized cleaning (bio-cleans) with training provided.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of cleaning systems, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Travel to various work sites as required throughout the week.
  • Communicate performance concerns or deficiencies with staff and subcontractors.
  • Support the team in achieving shared goals and maintaining high service quality.
  • Assist with and learn to operate basic floor care machines.
  • Safely move or lift items up to 50 lbs when required.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Successful applicants must complete background checks and high-security clearances (covered by Bee Clean).
  • Janitorial or cleaning experience is considered an asset

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and email communication.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A team player who takes initiative and helps where needed.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
