Job Description

We’re looking for a Lead Game Artist to join us in creating an AI-driven 2D cartoon-style game. At the early stage of the project, you’ll be hands-on with art creation — designing characters, environments, and UI assets. As development progresses, you’ll gradually build and lead a growing art team, pioneering new ways to integrate AI into game art production and creative workflows.

Job Responsibility

  • Take ownership of or oversee the design and production of art assets (characters, environments, UI, etc.), ensuring a cohesive visual style
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to explore AI-driven innovations in visual generation, art pipelines, and creative expression
  • Build and manage the art team, establishing efficient production workflows and collaboration mechanisms
  • Stay attuned to global visual trends, delivering visually compelling designs that resonate with international audiences

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in game art
  • Experience as a Lead or Senior Artist
  • Ability to independently produce high-quality art assets
  • Experience in shipped game titles
  • Proficiency with Unity art production workflows
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility
  • Solid concept art foundations
  • A spirit of innovation and curiosity toward generative AI, creative tools, and new forms of digital art
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to guide a team toward ambitious creative goals

Nice to have

  • Experience designing and implementing particle effects
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI-generated art assets or tools
  • Background in roguelike or survivor-style game projects
  • Prior work on 2D cartoon-style projects is a strong plus
