Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Organisational and Staff Development (OSD) practitioner, with a proven track record of leading teams to deliver on complex, high impact organisational wide programmes that align to University of the Arts London’s strategic priorities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee key initiatives such as the staff survey, policy development and review schedule, strategic workforce planning and leadership development
  • Review and enhance the internal consultancy service to support local department or college and team level development needs
  • Work in partnership with HR Business Partners and college staff developers
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across People and Culture, Trade Unions, Teaching and Learning Directorate, college management teams
  • Strengthen the overall OSD service to meet the needs of all staff
  • Drive the team’s focus on data and evidence-based interventions and decision making
  • Organisational learning needs analyses
  • Production of an annual staff development report
  • Support the Head of Organisation and Staff Development with team management, operational and budget planning, communication plan and team resourcing

Requirements:

  • Highly experienced Organisational and Staff Development (OSD) practitioner
  • Proven track record of leading teams to deliver complex, high impact organisational wide programmes
  • Professional membership/accreditation (e.g., CIPD)
  • Experience of reviewing and/or developing people policy (e.g., related to performance management)
  • Skills in influencing, advising and presenting to senior level audiences
  • Authoring presentations and reports on strategic or complex staff and organisational development issues
  • Willingness to keep up to date with latest trends, evidence and research in Organisation and Staff Development
  • Experienced manager
  • Advocate for creating supportive and inclusive working environment
