An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Wing Analysis Engineering team at Filton. We are a team dedicated to finding technical solutions to support wing structure development, and we are looking for you to bring your passion for structural analysis and design to lead our work.

Job Responsibility:

  • Approve Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) deliverables and lead the resolution of F&DT problems through the use of appropriate methods
  • Be responsible for the technical scope of projects, providing guidance to F&DT Engineers and suppliers
  • Liaise with the Chief Engineers, F&DT Seniors, Principals, and the Technical Authorities
  • Support the development of less experienced team members on both technical and behavioural aspects
  • Collaborate with the Process, Methods and Tools (PMT) and Digitalization departments on 1A transformation projects
  • Implement automation and optimization tools and processes on the current and near-future incremental developments

Requirements:

  • Hold or be very close to holding approval signatory in Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) analysis
  • Experience and know-how of structures engineering and analytical techniques
  • Good knowledge of overall aircraft structural design principles and techniques
  • Structural analysis background, particularly in Fatigue & Damage Tolerance
