At Resmed, we’re transforming the digital health landscape through connected care and data-driven experiences that empower better patient outcomes. Our Resmed Connect team enables seamless interoperability with provider systems through industry-standard protocols like RESTful, HL7 and FHIR. We focus on cloud-native architecture, modern APIs, and scalable platforms to deliver critical integrations that power connected healthcare. As a Lead Engineer, you’ll step beyond code to influence architectural decisions, guide cross-functional teams, and shape the future of digital integrations across our platform. You'll work closely with global development teams to drive technical excellence, foster innovation, and provide leadership that inspires results. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic direction and mentorship, requiring a strong background in cloud engineering, and team leadership. Your work will directly impact how providers engage with patients and influence clinical outcomes—helping people sleep—and live—better.
Job Responsibility:
Lead technical vision and execution for provider-facing integrations (e.g., HL7, FHIR APIs), defining architecture and guiding design decisions across teams
Act as the technical SME for Resmed Connect Integration Services with a strategic view of scalability, interoperability, and security in a regulated MedTech environment
Champion best practices in DevOps, observability, CI/CD, and test automation in collaboration with DevOps engineers and platform teams
Maintain deep, hands-on involvement in coding, reviewing, and designing mission-critical software components and cloud-based services
Guide, mentor, and influence a team of engineers (including global team members) through pair programming, design reviews, and architecture workshops
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to convert ambiguous business needs into well-scoped, technically sound solutions
Estimating technical complexity and guiding consistent delivery of quality code
Establish and reinforce a culture of accountability, velocity, and continuous improvement within the development team
Architect and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs and data pipelines that integrate with external systems and provider platforms
Drive efforts to modernize and standardize integration services using industry standards and modern patterns (e.g., microservices, serverless, event-driven)
Contribute to the evolution of our cloud-native platform (AWS), working across services like Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, S3, SNS/SQS, RDS/NoSQL and containerization
Comfortable working in a paired programming model with AI tools—leveraging them for code generation, refactoring, documentation, and test creation

Experience across the full-stack (React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS) is highly preferred
Proven track record of building and leading distributed teams
Experience with global collaboration and Agile/Scrum practices
Hands-on experience with cloud-native development (AWS) including compute, networking, messaging, and serverless architectures
Demonstrated capability in building resilient systems with zero-downtime deployment, performance monitoring, and observability best practices
