Job Description:

Part of the Systematic Strategies Group’s continued buildout. The team is scaling to support modernisation, performance, and automation initiatives across trading systems. This role complements the lead engineer position by focusing on Python-based development within the same platform.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and maintain Python-based trading and analytics applications
  • Work with cloud infrastructure (AWS) for deployment and scalability
  • Collaborate with the lead engineer, QA, and DevOps teams on feature delivery
  • Assist in troubleshooting and performance optimization of production systems
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Strong Python development skills (data pipelines, backend systems, APIs)
  • 3-5 years of Leadership experience
  • AWS cloud experience (deployment, scaling, architecture)
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with Java, React, or DevOps pipelines
  • Knowledge of Capital Markets (public markets, FX, equities, derivatives, etc.)
  • Experience working in systematic or quantitative trading environments
