Job Description:

Lead Engineer M&T. It is a transverse team working with different core engineering verticals in Airbus. The USP of this team is working in multi-functional environment providing digital solutions to engineering problems. The USP of the team is people with Core Engineering domain knowledge complemented by software development skills. The team plays an enabler role in various digitization initiatives across Airbus utilizing latest technologies and the domain knowledge they have. Some examples of the digital solutions for various Core Engineering departments such as Data driven designs of wiring, automated routing electrical harnesses, Data Analytics based product aimed at reducing physical tests of material specimens. It also involves developing web-based solutions to encapsulate and automate different workflows such as flight test planning etc. In addition to these points, developing tools for Electrical Wiring Harness and Hydraulic Circuit design process improvements. Some of the tools developed; are used in the areas of Aircraft Safety analysis and Engineering Business Data monitoring etc. M&T is also deeply involved in Agile Scrum and SAFe in developing state of the art digital products for the areas mentioned above.

Job Responsibility:

  • Balance technological opportunities with business (process) requirements
  • Plan, design and integrate software components
  • Deliver the global design including technical requirements, principles and models that guide solution design for the software Product, in line with guidelines
  • Secure the integration of solutions across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives
  • Travelling to different Airbus sites on a moderate frequency will be part of the job
  • Collaborating with other product owners, architects, systems analysts, and developers to deliver the highest quality solutions via cutting edge technologies
  • Defining models, including solution patterns, to guide solution decisions
  • Participating in all phases of the application development life cycle including research and design, development, testing, implementation and support
  • Aligning product strategy with the organization's business goals and long-term strategic planning for our product
  • Performing the technical/functional design of the application and infrastructure components of a new solution according to the defined functional design

Requirements:

  • Experience in software development using JAVA/ C++/ C# (one of the three Object Oriented languages)
  • Experience in Front End technologies (Angular / JQuery / ExtJS / Node JS)
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Life cycle (SDLC)
  • Good interpersonal ,communication and mentoring skills
  • Very good analytical and Practical Problem Solving skills
  • Work in a multi discipline and international environment
  • Pragmatic and collaborative approach way of working
  • Certified Product Owner - Scaled Agile Framework, or prior experience as a PO
  • Preferred Aerospace Domain Experience
