Working hand-in-hand in interdisciplinary project teams ranging from a handful of individuals to hundreds of colleagues, we ensure buildings, systems and equipment function together flawlessly so that our customers can supply patients with the products they require. In doing so, our every hour spent, document created and kilometer travelled helps improve, save or extend life all over the globe. If you are driven by the need to help people, to challenge yourself with complexity, to go the extra mile and look beyond your own discipline, Exyte is the right place for you! As a Lead Engineer Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) – Building Automation Systems, you play a key role in executing our building automation business in Europe, being an integral part of our EPC and EPCM(V) projects.

  • In projects assigned to you, oversee all work of building automation team members and execute select work yourself
  • Manage scope, resources, cost and time of the building automation sub-discipline in projects assigned to you
  • Define procurement strategies, select vendors and subcontractors, execute technical clarification and generate technical bid evaluations
  • Evaluate vendor’s and subcontractor’s contracts, manage their changes as well as claims and approve their invoices
  • Expedite and lead vendors and subcontractors, review their technical documentation and attend factory acceptance tests
  • Coordinate and manage delivery, installation, commissioning and site acceptance testing of goods and services of vendors and subcontractors
  • Contribute to the development of Exyte’s internal I&C standards

Requirements:

  • University degree in electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of two successfully executed EPC or EPCM(V) projects as building automation lead engineer – both in design and execution
  • Technical expertise in both room and building automation
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Willingness to travel within the DACH region. In select cases, willingness to travel internationally
What we offer:
  • Work on high-profile, technically challenging life sciences projects for leading global clients
  • A dynamic and international working environment with a strong team culture
  • Individual training and career development opportunities within a global company
  • Keep fit: Exyte subsidises your fitness contract through Egym Wellpass at over 5,000 locations in Germany and Austria
  • Attractive compensation package in line with the Austrian collective agreement, with willingness to overpay depending on qualifications and experience
