Lead factory integration for embedded & cloud-connected products, guiding squads from R&D to scalable production. This is a pivotal role sitting at the intersection of R&D and Operations. You’ll guide a squad while remaining hands-on - leading architectural design, mentoring engineers, and ensuring our embedded, firmware, and software-enabled products transition seamlessly from development into scalable, secure manufacturing environments. You’ll act as the technical authority for factory integration, enabling high-quality production outcomes while shaping engineering standards, delivery practices, and long-term capability.
Job Responsibility:
Lead factory integration strategy for new product introduction (NPI), ensuring production readiness across hardware, firmware, and software systems
Provide high-level architectural oversight and technical direction across factory integration initiatives
Guide squads in best practice development patterns and secure product development
Develop and refine automation, validation, and production test frameworks to support scalable manufacturing
Partner closely with Production Engineering and Operations to resolve complex production issues and improve yield and quality
Mentor and coach engineers, growing capability across embedded systems
Drive secure, high-quality delivery through strong design reviews, coding standards, CI/CD, and automated testing practices
Identify systemic risks and proactively lead resolution across cross-functional teams
Contribute to the strategic direction of the product portfolio through technical insight and innovation
Requirements:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or similar
8+ years’ commercial software development experience, with a strong focus on: C# and the .NET Framework (3.5 and later) as the primary development environment
Building and maintaining device‑integrated applications responsible for communicating with and controlling embedded hardware in a manufacturing context
Working with hardware‑adjacent systems, including embedded devices, firmware interfaces, or microcontroller‑driven products, to support robust and reliable production software
Demonstrated experience leading engineers (directly or indirectly) within agile delivery teams
Experience diagnosing and resolving complex production or integration issues
Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence across R&D, Product, and Operations
