Job Description:

We are currently recruiting a full time Lead Electrician for a small family run business based near Abingdon.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carry out general repairs, upgrades, PIV Installs, rewires and testing to void properties in the Oxfordshire area
  • Work independently and deliver safe, compliant installations
  • Progress into a pivotal member of the team, to lead others and set standards for the business

Requirements:

  • Gold ECS card, or equivalent qualifications
  • 18th edition & 2391 Inspection and Testing
  • UK Driving Licence, ideally with 0 points

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience with Solar PV / battery storage
  • SSSTS would be advantageous

  • Perform panel wiring, cell wiring and system wiring, including installation of conduits and wireways
  • Report any issues regarding workmanship or design to the Lead Electrician or the Manager, Electrical Assembly
  • Ensure that all print updates are being completed and that rework is properly recorded
  • Following OHSC rules and regulations
  • determine power requirements for projects and install bus plugs, conduits and cord drops to transformers and/or directly to control panel disconnects
  • Using established procedures for “Power up and Test” perform power up and electrical testing and troubleshooting of the control system in order to enable the start of integration. Repair and/or replace defective components of the system as required
