The Boeing Company is currently looking for a Lead Digital Engineer - PLM position seeking to design, develop and test new computing systems and applications across PLM to facilitate integration of new technologies and the transition from legacy systems to support business requirements. This position reports directly to Systems Engineering Manager at Bangalore, India. This position requires you to be highly skilled Model Based Design Specialist with a strong background in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, specifically Dassault Systems' 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) platform with hands on experience in AI/ML technology. The ideal candidate will need to have extensive experience in enhancing PLM solution with modern AI/ML capabilities to drive automation, data insight and intelligent workflows. This role involves planning, executing, and managing the PLM systems ensuring data integrity, system performance, and user satisfaction while leveraging scripting and automation for efficiency. A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Manager to deliver Engineering statements of work to meet the organizational goals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and deploy engineering systems tools and process architecture across PLM
  • Provide systems integration expertise and related support to the entire systems engineering team
  • Designing tube assemblies for Hydraulic / Oxygen / Fuel/ Fire / Wastewater etc.,
  • Defining Systems Equipment and Ports
  • Design of ECS/HVAC Ducting
  • Design, development and use of multiple architecture frameworks, tools, and methodologies
  • Analyze, design, code, test and debug existing and new programs to support the customization of the Enterprise level 3DX PLM
  • Use of CATIA V5/V6 and 3Dexperience for 3D Part modeling using parametric relations
  • Identify and implement model-based architecture and engineering methods and standards
  • Coordinate with various programs to determine Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Training and Tool Needs
  • Demonstrate excellence in use of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and systems modeling methods with expertise in RFLP architecture
  • Design and develop CAD custom applications development, testing and deployment for CATIA V5/3DX CATIA using C#
  • Work as a Lead for the local team of PLM Engineers, provide daily direction of tasks and assignments
  • Provide team activity report to the MBSE Manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 15+ years of Overall Engineering experience, preferably in Aerospace Engineering
  • Minimum 10+ years of Systems Engineering experience with exposure to electrical, mechanical, and systems tools and processes
  • Minimum 8+ years of demonstrated experience on Catia V5 / 3DExperience and automation tools and methodologies
  • Must have experience in Integration of 3DX with other enterprise systems and tools
  • Must have Experience in ADO
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and optimize existing scripts and automation workflows
  • Must be able to Analyze, design, code, test and debug existing and new programs to support the customization of the Enterprise level 3DX PLM
  • Must have experience working with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations
  • Candidate must have strong attention to detail
  • Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required

Nice to have:

  • Preferably to have experience in Python based tools, and APIs for PLM/PDM data processing, automation and analytics
  • Having experience in training end-users/peers on 3DX, new cloud functionalities, and automation tools is an added advantage
  • Preferably to have experience in Implementation of automation solutions to streamline PLM processes and improve efficiency
  • Good to have Experience in developing and maintaining scripts using for automating tasks within the PDM/PLM environment as an added advantage
  • Good to have Experience with Dashboard widget creation/customization
  • Effectively resolves problems and roadblocks as they occur, consistently following through on details while driving innovation as well as issue resolution
  • Mentors junior team members on technical aspects
  • INCOSE certification on Systems Engineering is an added advantage
