Lead DevOps Engineer is required ASAP for a permanent engagement with one our leading clients.
Job Responsibility
Responsible for Platforms: You design, build and operate container and cloud infrastructures based on Docker, Kubernetes and Azure – secure, scalable and tailored to the needs of our customers
Build & Run from a single source : You accompany projects from construction to operation – stability, performance and continuous improvement are in your hands
Setting Standards : You shape architectural decisions, define standards for security, monitoring and deployment, and actively drive the further development of our platforms
CI/CD as the backbone: You are responsible for our central CI/CD infrastructure on GitLab – from pipeline blueprints and upgrades to the onboarding of new projects
Automation as a principle : You establish and improve Infrastructure-as-Code, deployment processes and monitoring setups – repeatability and traceability are your requirement
Working closely with customers : You analyze requirements, ask constructive questions and find pragmatic solutions together with our customers – on equal terms, without detours
Multiply know-how: You advance development teams through code reviews, training, and direct exchange – thereby improving the technical quality throughout the entire project
AI in everyday engineering : You will use AI tools in a targeted manner and help shape how we integrate them into our engineering practices
Requirements
You are not looking for comfortable routine – complex system landscapes, demanding stakeholders and high availability requirements motivate you
You have solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes and are familiar with Azure – or are determined to quickly delve into it
You are familiar with GitLab CI/CD (or similar platforms) and know what constitutes a production-ready pipeline – pipeline design, runner management and upgrades are familiar to you or you want to become so
You understand what counts in productive operations – monitoring, logging, alerting, certificate management and incident management are familiar to you or you actively tackle them
Compliance, IAM, Zero Trust and micro segmentation are not foreign concepts to you – you want to make them a matter of course
You clearly communicate complex issues to development teams, customers and stakeholders, in German and English
You work routinely in Scrum or Kanban projects and actively contribute to the further development of the process
Completed studies in computer science or comparable professional experience that speaks for itself
