Job Description:

Lead Developer role at Citi's Issuer Services Technology team, responsible for leading engineering teams and managing projects with accountability for financial and risk related objectives. The role requires strong technical and architectural skills to contribute to new technical vision and engineering best practices.

Job Responsibility:

Lead an experienced engineering team to implement new or revised application systems
Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning
Manage staff and vendors/contractors to accomplish established goals
Conduct personnel duties for team (performance evaluations, career guidance/mentoring, hiring and disciplinary actions)
End to end staff and delivery management for several critical application platforms
Drive the strategic recombination of platforms and applications to align with Digital First and future state objectives
Craft and deliver successful complex solutions in an enterprise production environment

Requirements:

Experience of Java, JavaScript/Angular
Experience in Appian is a plus
5+ years of experience
3-4 years involved with complex medium to large projects in a dynamic financial environment
Strong analytical and technical ability
Experience with Agile and all aspects of the SDLC, and DevOps processes
Experience with Spring / ORM framework, and database
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a Computer Science or related field
Superb communication, great verbal and written skills
Ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment
Hard-working and highly motivated individual
Self-starter who is passionate for learning about new tools and technologies
Ability to work both independently, with other team members, and across teams

Nice to have:

Experience in Appian
Willing to learn new techniques, particularly low code platforms like Appian
