As a Lead Designer at Real, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our creative vision across marketing and brand initiatives. This role sits between the Head of Design and mid to junior designers, spanning our portfolio of brands, balancing hands-on design work with team leadership, direction, and mentorship. You will help bring clarity to high level business goals by translating them into clear, compelling, and on brand visual assets. Working closely with US based stakeholders and overseeing designers across global teams, you will ensure creative work consistently supports business goals, agent engagement, and consumer impact. This role is ideal for a Senior Lead Designer who thrives in a fast paced, high growth environment and is ready to take on expanded leadership responsibility without owning department wide strategy.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Head of Design in evolving Real and its ancillary businesses (Title, Mortgage, etc.), ensuring design excellence and brand consistency across channels
Lead by example through hands on design execution across digital, print, web, social, and video
Translate ambiguous or high level business needs into clear creative direction and finished deliverables
Lead and mentor a distributed team of onshore and international designers, including design managers and individual contributors
Provide clear creative direction, feedback, and coaching to help designers elevate their work
Review and approve design output to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with brand standards
Partner with stakeholders in Marketing, Product, Technology, Growth, Agent Success, and Business Services teams primarily based in the US to bring ideas to life through compelling design
Translate business goals into effective visual solutions that support acquisition, engagement, and retention
Help maintain and evolve brand guidelines, templates, and design systems to support scalability
Ensure brand alignment across all internal and external communications, digital campaigns, agent facing materials, and experiential touchpoints
Oversee the development of marketing assets including digital, print, web, social, and video
Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies to infuse fresh, modern design into everything we create
Requirements:
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
familiarity with front-end web development a plus
Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear feedback and direction
Strong ability to take vague or high level business ideas and turn them into clear, polished design connect design strategy to company objectives and KPIs
Excellent communicator, collaborator, and people leader
7+ years of experience in design, with at least 1 year in a leadership role overseeing multidisciplinary teams in a high-growth or tech-driven environment
Proven success managing creative teams across multiple geographies and time zones while partnering with US based stakeholders
Experience building design systems and brand frameworks for multi-product businesses, preferably in real estate, fintech, or proptech
Expert in visual design, typography, layout, and digital production
Nice to have:
