Job Description:

Lead Decision Scientist role in CVS Healthspire Payor & Life Sciences Solutions organization providing analytical and advisory services using real world data, advanced technologies, and professional know-how to illuminate therapeutic and economic value for pharmaceutical, biotech, and device companies.

Job Responsibility:

  • End-to-end responsibility of extraction-transformation-load including understanding of the data sources
  • Distributed research methods and queries using industry common data models
  • Research questions
  • Data management
  • Space management and data quality
  • Contribute to the maintenance and refresh of the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources include immunization information systems (IIS) data into CDM
  • Use SAS and R to execute queries and SAS and SQL to transform data into CDMs
  • Review results, identify quality issues, investigate root cause, and assist Senior Decision Scientist, Senior Analyst, or Analyst in completing investigations
  • Document findings and other Data Management Plan items
  • Present the findings to internal team and clients including the FDA
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience with SAS
  • 5+ years' experience with extract-transform-load data files
  • 5+ years' experience in health care data management and analytics
  • 5+ years' experience with healthcare claims data analysis
  • Experience working with and integrating large datasets from multiple sources
  • Experience in preparation and data management plan/documentation
  • Experience with the FDA on research initiatives and data driven projects
  • Proficient with multi-tasking
  • Must be self-directed
  • Be able to critical think through problems
  • Masters Preferred, Bachelors Degree required

Nice to have:

  • Experience in SAS, SQL, R, Google Cloud Platform, GitHub, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Experience with the FDA on research initiatives and data driven projects
  • Adapt and create with assistance production processes to automate routine data management tasks
  • Analytical background in pharmacovigilance, Pharmacoeconomics, safety surveillance, and/or outcomes research using Real World Datasets
