Job Description

As our Lead Deal Desk Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of our revenue operations, driving the success of our sales teams and helping shape our pricing and packaging strategy. You'll work closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Product teams to develop and execute pricing strategies, ensure deal profitability, and maintain alignment with business objectives. This is a high-visibility role where you’ll take ownership of the deal process, providing insight and recommendations based on data and analysis.

Job Responsibility

  • Deal structuring & analysis: collaborate with Sales and Finance to create custom deal structures, analyze pricing trends, and optimize discounting strategies to drive revenue and profitability
  • Pricing & packaging: lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of our pricing strategies and packaging models, ensuring they align with customer needs, market conditions, and business objectives
  • Ownership & independence: you’ll manage the deal desk process end-to-end, and resolve complex pricing and deal-related questions with urgency and confidence
  • Process optimization: continuously improve and streamline the deal review and approval process to drive efficiency and reduce time to close for the sales team
  • Cross-functional collaboration: partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to ensure smooth and compliant deal execution
  • Reporting & insights: provide actionable insights and detailed reporting on pricing trends, discounting strategies, and deal performance
  • Training & support: equip the sales team with tools, training, and guidance on pricing and packaging to ensure effective deal execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a Deal Desk or Pricing Strategy role, ideally within a fast-paced SaaS or tech startup environment
  • Strong analytical skills: expertise in pricing analysis, data-driven decision making, and financial modeling
  • Independence & adaptability: comfortable navigating ambiguity, taking initiative, and driving projects forward with minimal direction
  • Problem-solving & ownership: ability to think strategically, resolve complex deal issues, and take full ownership of pricing and deal structuring tasks
  • Collaborative mindset: ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally with diverse teams, including Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product
  • Attention to detail: a keen eye for detail in structuring deals, creating pricing models, and reviewing contract terms
  • Tools & tech savvy: proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce), Excel, and pricing tools. Familiarity with pricing optimization software is a plus.
