Job Description:

We're looking for a seasoned Lead Database Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and optimization of our large-scale data solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of Oracle SQL, Spark ETL, Python, and proven leadership capabilities. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining robust ETL pipelines, ensuring data integrity and performance, and guiding a team of data engineers towards best practices and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibility:

Design, build, and fine-tune high-performance ETL pipelines using Python and Oracle SQL, leveraging your expertise in query optimization and performance tuning
Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, best practices, and continuous learning
Partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data needs and translate them into scalable and efficient data solutions
Implement and maintain processes to ensure data quality, integrity, security, and optimal performance across our data platforms
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering, advocating for and implementing improvements to our data infrastructure and processes

Requirements:

10+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a closely related field
Mastery of Oracle SQL, including advanced query optimization and performance tuning techniques
Proven experience developing and optimizing ETL processes using Apache Spark
Strong programming skills in Scala and/or Python for data engineering tasks
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, manage projects effectively, and foster a positive and productive work environment
Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, distributed computing architectures, and cloud platforms
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Nice to have:

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Knowledge of real-time data processing frameworks such as Kafka
