Job Responsibility:
Analyse large-scale administrative datasets using advanced coding skills to support an extensive research program
Conduct sophisticated quantitative research and high-level economic and labour market analysis
Lead project milestones by managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality statistical report inputs and briefing materials
Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including academics and economists, to gather intelligence and provide expert advice
Build team capability through coaching, providing performance feedback, and mentoring other team members
Requirements:
Post-Graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Economics, Econometrics, or Data Science
Expertise in R or Python coding, along with experience using GitHub, Azure (Databricks/Datalake), and Posit
Advanced technical knowledge in labour market analysis, economic modeling, and Bayesian inference
Proven experience with Australian Government datasets (such as PLIDA) and multilevel modelling frameworks
Strong understanding of data infrastructure, including metadata, data standards, and data requirements
