Job Description:

Lead Data Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of data systems powering our mental well-being initiatives. This role will set technical direction, mentor a multidisciplinary team, and collaborate across engineering, product, and analytics to deliver high-impact solutions at scale.

Job Responsibility:

Architect, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and platforms for large-scale, secure, and reliable analytics
Lead and mentor data engineers, software engineers, and QA colleagues, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration
Partner with product, analytics, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions
Champion best practices in data governance, quality, and security
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to advance our mental well-being mission
Contribute to the strategic vision for data engineering within the organization

Requirements:

7+ years of experience in data engineering
Proven expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, SQL/NoSQL, cloud platforms)
Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Scala, Java)
Experience with data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing
Track record of mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional initiatives
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, people-first mindset
Hands on experience in designing and building data engineering solutions in cloud environments (preferably GCP)
Hands-on experience with multiple ML/AI Algorithms
Familiarity with leveraging AI tools in support of SDLC
Bachelor's Degree

Nice to have:

Experience in GCP (Big Query, GCS, Pub/Sub, DataProc, Airflow/Composer etc.) strongly preferred
Experience in healthcare, wellness, or regulated industries
Experience in a technical leadership role
Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and analytics
Passion for advancing mental well-being through technology
