Job Description:

The Data Analytics Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role that applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area and requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function.

Job Responsibility:

Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flows
Coordinates and contribute to the objectives of data science initiatives and overall business
Assumes informal/formal leadership role through coaching and training of new recruits
Conducts strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications and make strategic recommendations
Mines and analyzes data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality
Delivers analytics initiatives to address business problems
Consults with business clients to identify system functional specifications
Leads system change process from requirements through implementation
Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects
Drives communication between business leaders and IT
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made

Requirements:

5+ years of hands-on experience in building data pipelines using Apache Spark
Hands-on experience with Big Data platforms such as Hadoop, Hive or Snowflake
Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts
Knowledge of Relational (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) database design
Good exposure to data modeling techniques
Proficient in Python, Java or Scala
Exposure to CI/CD platforms, version control, automated quality control management
5-8 years of experience implementing data-intensive solutions using agile methodologies
Experience of modelling data for analytical consumers
Ability to automate and streamline the build, test and deployment of data pipelines
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

Data Quality & Controls: Exposure to data validation, cleansing, enrichment and data controls
Containerization: Understanding of containerization platforms like Docker, Kubernetes
File Formats: Exposure in working on Event/File/Table Formats such as Avro, Parquet, Iceberg
Basics of Job scheduler like Autosys
Basics of Entitlement management
Certification on any of the above topics
