Job Description:

Lead Data Engineer supporting applications used by Wells Fargo's 270,000+ employees, over 1 million external job seekers, and more than 4,000 HR professionals. Responsible for acting as a lead in the Human Resources Data, Reporting & Analytics team within Enterprise Functions Technology group.

Job Responsibility:

Act as technical lead for reporting and analytics solutions in HRIT Data Engineering
Lead implementation and adoption of Microsoft Fabric
Establish best practices for engineers
Lead Fabric community of practice in HR & HRIT
Mentor other engineers
Collaborate with business partners in HR Data and Reporting
Develop solutions for business intelligence products, semantic models, ad-hoc analytics and data science initiatives
Be a contributing member of HRIT Data Engineering leadership team
Lead complex initiatives with broad impact
Design, develop, and run tooling to discover problems in data and applications
Review and analyze complex software enhancement initiatives

Requirements:

5+ years of Database Engineering experience or equivalent
2+ years of Microsoft Fabric experience
5+ years of data warehouse / large data store experience
5+ years of data-centric solution design
5+ years of experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI
Experience with Human Resources (HR) data
Experience with AI, preferably Microsoft Copilot and Github Copilot
Experience with metadata and associated tooling, especially Microsoft Purview

Nice to have:

Experience with AI, preferably Microsoft Copilot and Github Copilot
Experience with metadata and associated tooling, especially Microsoft Purview
